Lock Poker: Launches Own Platform, Leaves Revolution

October 30, 2013

Lock Poker, the site best known for its generous 36% rakeback deal, for the US traffic it continues to accept and lately, for the incredibly long cash-out periods, has finally made a move, in the right direction – we hope.

The site has hired a third-party software developer and it has moved onto its own online poker platform. The new software offers timed tournaments, re-entry tournaments as well as a handy heads-up re-match feature. Lock Poker's new software must be downloaded at lockpoker.eu. To migrate your existing account to the new software, please visit https://migrate.lockpoker.eu/.

The Lock Poker rakeback deal will continue, and player balances have already been transferred to the new client seamlessly. USA players will be accepted as well.

According to the press release Lock Poker made public in the wake of their move, they decided against the network model, terminating their contract, because of the numerous and ongoing contract breaches on the part of the operator. Lock Poker moved to the Cake Network in 2012. Their cash-out processing quickly degraded afterwards. Whether or not cash-outs will improve remains to be seen. According to Lock Poker’s Shane Bridges, a new cashier has already been rolled out.
