True Poker: TOSS – a US Online Poker Success Story

Who said the US online poker scene was reduced to rubble after Black Friday? True Poker have proof that it’s alive and kicking: their 6-day Online Super Series drew massive US based starting fields and handed out prizes totaling $172,427. The initial guarantee for the series was set for $150k, but due to plentiful participation, that number was easily exceeded.

According to a True Poker spokesman, the success of the TOSS is proof that online poker is alive and thriving in the US. The Series ran between November 29 and December 4 and among others, it included a $25k guaranteed Thanksgiving special as well as a $50k guaranteed grand final.
The highlight of the series was the grand final of course, which gave the winner, Stealbelt, a $10,250 reward. A player known by the online moniker “Wolfattacku” finished second for a $6,375 prize.
Additional prizes were awarded too: the player with the most TOSS cashes, Imawhale26 picked up a free seat in the $15k True Poker Sunday Deep Stack.

High stakes tournament action doesn’t wrap up at True Poker with the TOSS though. On December 18, another $50k guaranteed event will take place, the buy-in to which is $82.5. True Poker players will be able to qualify online too, for as little as $2.2.
