Aced Poker is a Merge Network member, the strengths and weaknesses of which are rather obvious: the site accepts US players and it offers a VIP Scheme, feturing a decent amount of rake return. It also has decent software, and excellent game selection. While the combination of US traffic and daily paid cashback should indeed be an impressive player recruitment tool, Aced Poker is plagued by the now ‘classic’ Merge Network problem: low traffic volume.
Even with the low player numbers, the quality of the traffic tends to be excellent in the sense that players are loose and many of them seem to be low stakes first-timers. That said, the majority of the traffic is focused on the small stakes Holdem tables, and there’s hardly any action at the Omaha, Stud or other poker variant tables.
As far as its software is concerned, Aced Poker boasts the classic Merge creation which is well-known throughout the online poker community.
Besides the quirky avatars and chat emoticons, the Aced Poker software offers great support for multi-tabling. Tables are resizable and they’re available in mini views which can also be resized. The game speed is excellent, and just right for multi tabling. Some people say that full tables tend to be cluttered, but we hardly found that to be the case.
The Aced Poker bonus is rather generous, although it does come with some pretty steep redemption requirements. There’s a VIP program that’s recently been overhauled and which features 6 VIP tiers, offering increasingly higher rewards. The Aced Poker cash back rate starts at 8% and it goes all the way up to 35%.
The bottom line: Aced Poker is your regular Merge operation, the main selling point of which is its generous VIP scheme and fast and prompt payouts. If one is looking for high stakes action though, Aced Poker is probably not the answer right now.
