Americas Cardroom have signed their first in-house pro. Dusty Schmidt, whose nickname "Leatherass" is quite indicative of the amount of time he spends at the virtual tables grinding away, will represent the site at various poker events and he will blog for ACR too. The ACR Elite team is looking for new members as well, and Schmidt is expected to assume a role in the selection of new ACR pros.

Schmidt’s online poker career spans 7 years, during which he’s amassed profits totaling $4 million. It is said that he’s never experienced a losing month in his career.

According to Americas Cardroom spokesman Michael Harris, Dusty Schmidt was chosen to be the first member of ACR Elite Team on account of his ability to not only play the game at a high level, but also to teach it. In addition to all the above listed responsibilities, Schmidt will also be a regular at ACR’s high stakes tables.
