PokerStars: PokerStars Radio to cover World Record attempt
December is upon us and PokerStars’ 10th anniversary celebrations are underway. On Sunday, as part of the said celebrations, there will be a massive low buy-in MTT which is an attempt to set a new world record, by drawing more than 490k players. The currently standing record has also been set by PokerStars. PokerStars radio will be back in the mix too with a one-off show that will be hosted by Joe Stapleton and Nick Wealthall. The show will not just cover the event: it will offer players the opportunity to take down prizes, and to phone in and secure freeroll seats. Special guests shall be featured too, and it all kicks off at 5 PM (GMT) 30 minutes before the world record event gets going.
Those who do not have a PokerStars account, will be given a special treat if they sign up with the site using the bonus code given out during the show. They will get a ticket to a freeroll which takes place on December 18, and which rewards its top 20 finishers with entries to the $215 10th Anniversary Sunday Million special, which will feature a guaranteed prize-pool of $10 million and which starts right after the above said freeroll. Ten 10th Anniversary packages will also be distributed among lucky callers. Each of these packages consists of a PokerStars card protector, a hat, and a t-shirt straight from the PokerStars VIP store. One of the callers will get to take home a Citizen watch.
Those who fail to cash in the World Record tournament will get a second chance in the $1 event which runs from 6PM GMT on December 4. The second chance event will also give away 100 $11 tickets to the Sunday Storm. Registration for this Second Chance event is only possible through the use of the password given out during the PokerStars Radio show.
