Carbon Poker: VIP Points System Reset
Starting with July 15, 2014, Carbon Poker’s VIP Points system has been re-set in the sense that massive changes were instituted after players had been given until July 14 to spend all their existing VIP Points. Under the new system, Players Points can only be used for bonus redemption and to make progress in the site’s many promotions. They no longer have a real money value associated with them. Player Points cannot be used to buy into MTTs and SNGs at the site anymore either.
According to the site, what these changes essentially translate to are more generous and more frequent promotions and indeed, several positive changes have already happened in this respect. For instance, the $10K guarantee of the Dollar Frenzy has been upped to $25K.
