NETWORK: WPN No Longer Accepts Players from Regulated US Markets

May 19, 2014

Americas Cardroom (and the Winning Poker Network in general) have been about accepting all players at their tables, even those coming from jurisdictions where the legal situation of online poker is unclear at best. With that in mind, it was a bit of a surprise when a few days ago management made the announcement that WPN sites would no longer accept players from New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada. According to Americas Cardroom spokesman Michael Harris, the decision was due to the regulated nature of the above said markets.

WPN players residing in the above said states will be able to access their accounts to clear out their monies. Real money action is no longer available for them though. According to Harris, the WPN has seen major growth outside the above said jurisdictions, the players of which are still welcome to the network’s live events like the Punta Cana Poker Classic and the LSOP Millions II.
